Happy 1st Birthday to Ella

I know I have not put up any pictures of Ella in months so I am going to try to catch everyone up. Ella turned 1 year old on June 12. She had her one year visit to the pediatrician and we found out she is a little peanut. She weighs 19 1/2 pounds and is 28 inches long which are both around the 25th percentile. She is really walking well and has finally started getting more teeth...I think she has about 8 now. She is finally starting to eat like a normal person and doesn't insist on shoving everything down her throat at one time...which makes meal time so much better for me! We had a big party the Saturday after her birthday with all of our friends and family. I was scared that she would just bust out crying with everyone staring at her. Boy, was I wrong. She smiled and danced away while everyone sang to her. It was such a special day! I wasn't very good at taking pictures throughout the day but here are a few that I got.

birthday girl

She really isn't into any characters yet so we just had a color theme...her rainbow cupcakes

she loved all of her birthday balloons

digging into some cake

she actually didn't get too messy

hated her hat

playing her drums...a birthday gift from Aunt Juanita

I love this one because she has her arm around him. She just looks so little sitting next to Jack.

Beach Trip

Mike finally got 2 days off in a row so we set out for Bethany Beach. It was a much needed mini vacation. It was Ella's first beach and pool experiences and she had a great time. She also loved the boardwalk...all the lights, music and people walking around. here are some pics...

Spring Time

I am trying to catch up...most are pics from May and June.

Vegas and Tiger Woods lounging

Ella loves climbing the stairs!

I put her in this cute outfit and thought I would take some pics of her outside. It was the first time she had been in the grass. This face explains how she felt about it.

She was much happier inside!

Although she won't do any of the fun things I teach her in front of anyone, we did manage to catch some things on camera...clapping

When asked,"Where is your pretty, red hair?" she rubs her head like she has a luscious full head of hair. So cute.

still rubbing her pretty, red hair

sticking out her tongue...she really likes to do this with a mouth full of food
