What Ella Has Been Up To...

Aunt Juanita, Ella and I took advantage of a nice day and headed out to the zoo!
Sitting on a turtle.
We actually caught a smile

There were plenty of other animals but this is the only picture I took.

Although Ella liked looking at the animals she was more interested in the zoo map.

A warm day at the park! She really wasn't happy with the swing at first but she warmed up to the idea after she figured out the concept.

Playing outside at Maddox's birthday party. She really was having fun riding in this car but this is the face she gives for the camera! Oh, well.

Happy 2nd birthday to Maddox!

Just hanging around the house.

It just tastes better when you wear it!

Ella and Rebekah. She was a little cranky since it was nap time but she warmed up.

What a Little Ham!

Ella is now 8 and 1/2 months old. She is very busy crawling, pulling herself up on things, and making her mother crazy! I am just so nervous that she is going to hit her teeth or face on something but Ella, on the other hand, doesn't seem at all concerned about this. I know I sound like a crazy mother but it would just be nice if she could use a little caution instead of practicing to be a professional dare devil! Oh, well...this phase too will pass. I have added these 2 videos. The first one Aunt Juanita took while she was babysitting so Mike and I could go to the Melting Pot for Valentine's Day. The 2nd is of Ella and her mirror. She just loves to check herself out all the time!

Ella smiles all the time but trying to catch them in a picture is still pretty difficult. She hates the flash on my camera so the following pictures are just examples of what she gives me to work with.

Seriously?!

I put this cute dress on her one day for a photo shoot...

Taking a break to chew on her toes!

Standing in her crib...can't believe what a big girl she is!

Can't Wait for Spring

I am officially done with this weather and am ready for Spring. I am tired of being trapped in the house and can't wait for daily walks and trips to the zoo...park...wherever! I added some pictures, mostly of Ella hanging around the house except for this first one. This was the first time Ella has sat in a shopping cart without being in her seat. She absolutely loved it...smiling and kicking her feet the entire time like she was on a ride! And, of course I had to get a picture. I know the people at Home Depot got a big kick out of Mike and I trying to get her to smile in the middle of the store while Mike is shouting, "Say, I love Home Depot"! It's funny what a kick we get out of all the little things now! Here's my little angel...

"I love Home Depot"

Ella just loves to smile with her entire face....It cracks me up!

This is by far Ella's very favorite toy. She loves to race around it and doesn't care who is in her way. She will run you right over. Bob says this is great training for Nascar..."left turn, left turn, left turn!"

Ella doesn't seem to mind hanging out with her toys in her pack and play but I am guessing this will end when she starts being able to crawl...which could be any day now!

Ella enjoying a carrot.

So serious!

Daddy and Ella playing

Ella is getting better and better at standing and pulling herself up on things. Isn't she supposed to be crawling first??

We have pretty much given up on the changing table since she is such a little worm. I usually feel like I am wrestling some type of animal when I change her!
